Bamboo is quickly gaining popularity for use as both household
and commercial flooring. With the superb appeal of natural or
carbonised colouring this innovative flooring product will
enhance decor and add value to your home.
Bamboo flooring is a solid pre-finished click system
hardwood flooring. Easily installed and suitable for any
subfloor that is structurally sound, clean, dry and level such
as concrete slab, plywood, particleboard, existing strip timber
floors and tiles. Note: Bamboo flooring is not suitable for installation over heated sub-floors.
In order to maintain that beautiful look and finish we have a range of cleaning and maintenance products available. Hint: To obtain a non-smear finish - add a small amount of methylated spirits in hot water and always wring mop out thoroughly.
Bamboo flooring can be re-sanded or any damaged boards can be easily replaced.
Strandwoven bamboo has a Janka hardness rating of 14.5 Kilonewtons. Janka Hardness is a test that measures the pounds of force it takes to drive a .44" diameter steel ball 1/2 its depth into wood. Bamboo is harder than most hardwood/timber, therefore deals well with high levels of traffic, children and animals.
